The gorge of Gorges du Verdon
Gorges du Verdon is the largest gorge in Europe. The gorge has been carved by a green-blue river of 25 kilometers and is very popular with hikers: the area has over a 1000 kilometers of hiking trails. While walking through the rocks you can find fossils of ancient sea creatures. On the beautiful river it is possible to canoe, kayak or swim. Beaches near Fréjus

Hiking in Mont Vinaigre
The mountain of Mont Vinaigre is an hour away from Van der Valk Hotel Bloom. The mountain is perfect for hiking and the views are breathtaking. On a clear day it is possible to see the coast of Cannes from the northeast side of the mountain. There is 6.6 kilometers of hiking trail, which is surrounded by wildflowers and rocks.
Boat trips
There are several boat trips from Fréjus to discover the Côte d'Azur. Sail to Saint-Tropez, while passing the most beautiful parts of the southern French coast along the way. The company Les Excursions du Var offers boat trips to the islands of Lérins. These islands are close to the famous city of Cannes and all have their own charm.
